PhD Eng. Arch. Piotr Gradziński
I am a graduate of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, where I graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning in 2009 and Postgraduate Studies in Architecture and Interior Design in 2011.
From 2012, I am employed as an assistant at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Department of Architectural Design, Institute of Architecture and Spatial Planning since 2015 Department of Housing and Technical and Ecological Basics of Architecture.
In 2013, I created the Student Scientific Circle Eco-Architecture. I am an initiator of scientific and research trips with students and thematic workshops.
2016-2020, I was also developing ecological ideas in architecture at doctoral studies in the discipline of philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Szczecin.
Since 2017, I am a member of the 'Commission for the Development of Northern Poland' of the Polish Academy of Sciences - Branch in Gdańsk.
From 2019, I am a member of The Center for Philosophical Studies of History at the University of Oulu.
In 2020, I was appointed the Dean's Representative for International Educational Co-operation.
In 2021, I defended my doctoral dissertation, "Application of the Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) in the design of the architecture of single-family houses", the promoter was dr hab. inż. arch. Marek Wołoszyn, prof. ZUT, and the assistant promoter: dr inż. arch. Leszek Świątek.
Since November 2023 Vice-Dean for Organization and Development Faculty of Architecture.
I am active part in professional training, exhibitions, competitions, didactic trips and conferences in Poland and abroad, and I try to use my experience at work.
My scientific interests are devoted to architecture on the principles of sustainable development, taking into account and using the broadly defined Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the regenerative architectural design process.
